“ Fast paced restaurant. As a northerner the menu was everything southern I was looking for. Best clams I ever had! Yummy hush puppies instead of French fries (I'm not sure they are even on the menu). Cole slaw was homemade and not drowning in mayo. Sweet tea was not too sweet. I ate their special broiled clams with spinach and bread crumbs and the clams were so fresh and juicy ”

“ Local roadside oyster shack. Service was friendly, food was good. Hush puppies and fried shrimp were delicious. The oyster Rockefeller was fantastic highly recommended. Also came with grilled grouper and shrimp. It was basically sautéed on a flat top, very little seasoning and I am not convinced it was grouper by a wide margin. I would definitely recommend getting most of the dishes fried instead of grilled or blackened. Stick to the basics, the fried clam strips were excellent. We chose a baked potato and baked beans as our side dishes. The beans were a little on the sweet side for me. Overall it was good I would go back and try more oyster dishes, but found it a little expensive for lunch for what it was. ”
“ We were up this way again and had to try it again. Our brother-in-law introduced us to Deal's last November. The food is great and the service exceptional. ”
“ Ate here on July 14. Deal's (forgive the pun, but it's necessary) is the real deal! I went there with a group of about 10 for lunch, and they put us all together. We ordered all kinds of items off their menu, and to a person everyone loved it. Whether it was oysters, shrimp, fish or even chicken tenders, the place was a hit with our group. I got the sample platter that included oysters, shrimp, hushpuppies, fish and crab bites. You can get them baked, fried, buffaloed, blackened, etc... They we're very accommodating. I got the buffaloed, and although not as spicy as I would have liked, they plied me with plenty of sauce options (tartar, cocktail, a horseradish based sauce, another sauce which I can't describe and guava jelly for the hushpuppies). The coleslaw is also quite tasty as are their cheese grits. The place has character, and lots of good food. Be sure to ask them to play the pogo for you. That was a hit! ”
